ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan coach Sherrone Moore projected optimism with the growing list of injuries his team has had to endure in recent weeks.
While running back Justice Haynes remains sidelined for the foreseeable future after having surgery, the door is open for others to return to game action.
But will they this week against Northwestern?
The ravaged group of linebackers, the position hardest hit in recent weeks, appears closest. Earlier in the week, Moore told Michigan’s weekly radio show that all three injured players — Jaishawn Barham, Jimmy Rolder and Cole Sullivan — “did stuff” when the team returned from the bye week on Sunday, suggesting a return for Saturday’s game at Wrigley Field (12 p.m. ET, FOX) could be in the cards.
Barham left one play into the Nov. 1 win over Purd
