Two local entrepreneurs were recipients of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce’s Young Entrepreneur Bursary, funded by the Ministry of Trade and Export Development.

One of the 57 $5,000 bursaries was presented to Sadie Anwender at Ag Appreciation night last Friday. The second was presented to Deron Fahlman Wednesday afternoon, who founded The Slice, described by Monica Osborn of the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce as Weyburn and Southeast Saskatchewan’s premier axe and knife throwing venue.

The Slice was the first business in the province to feature HD projected targets and digital scoring. It also features dart boards, table games, as well as pool tables, foosball, and shuffleboard. Fahlman also has plans to expand; he hopes to add a rentable karaoke space and mini arcade.
