Two flood alerts have been issued across Greater Manchester for today as Storm Claudia continues to wreak havoc across the country .

The storm has been named by the Spanish meteorological service, but its impact will be felt across much of England and Wales today (November 14).

A yellow weather warning for wind was issued by The Met Office yesterday, affecting parts of the UK for 12 hours on Friday, November 14.

As of Friday evening two flood alerts had also been issued for the region. According to the Flood Alerts website , flooding is possible for the River Mersey Uplands catchment including Hyde , Ashton-under-Lyne, Denton , Stalybridge and Glossop.
