The Buffalo Bills had one piece of good news in their injury update on Friday.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced Friday that wide receiver Khalil Shakir is expected to play, while tight end Dalton Kincaid and defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis are both ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-3) in Orchard Park, N.Y.
Shakir had limited involvement in practice Wednesday and Thursday, sporting a red non-contact jersey, but “is heading in the right direction and should be in a good spot for the game.” McDermott said.
The wide receiver has been dealing with ankle/ribs injuries after last week’s loss to Miami. He leads the team with 457 receiving yards.
