PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - With Jeffrey Epstein back in the headlines following the release of newly uncovered emails, public pressure is mounting on Congress ahead of a key vote that could reveal thousands of pages of additional Epstein-related records.
The “Epstein Files Transparency Act” would require the government to unseal documents connected to Epstein, the convicted sex offender and financier whose network of high-profile associates has fueled years of scrutiny and speculation. The bill is expected to come before the House in the coming days.
During a stop in Pitt County this morning, Rep. Greg Murphy was asked how he plans to vote. Murphy said he has not finished reviewing the newly surfaced material.
