EUGENE, Ore. - Firefighters responded to an apartment fire in West Eugene at the Woodland Creek Apartments on Friday morning.
According to Eugene Springfield Fire, the blaze started on the morning of Nov. 14 in a downstairs apartment of a two-story, four-unit building. Engine 10 from the Bailey Hill station arrived within three minutes and quickly contained the fire to its room of origin. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Eugene Springfield Fire and the Eugene Police Department.
During the incident, there was unrelated law enforcement activity that prompted a large response from the Lane County Sheriff's Office and the Eugene Police Department. However, no further details on these activities have been provided.
