For a very particular generation of Millennials (and some Gen X and Z-ers probably), Jim Henson was the very definition of imagination. From Muppet Babies to Fraggle Rock , and of course Sesame Street before it, gave us worlds and characters and songs we cherish to this day. For an even more particular subset of that generation of Henson Kids, the creator’s high-fantasy, fairy tale worlds are even more beloved. One such film is 1986’s Labyrinth . Depicting a young girl (played by teen Jennifer Connelly) who travels into the Goblin Kingdom to rescue “the babe,” aka her baby brother, Labyrinth remains the pinnacle of Henson’s work. And soon you’ll be able to see it again on the big screen for the movie’s 40th anniversary.
