( 25News Now ) - Washington native John Ackerman believes the #1 ranked Washington Panthers are going to win their quarterfinal game on Saturday.
The Tazewell County Clerk is so confident in a Panthers victory over the Providence Catholic Celtics that he has issued a friendly challenge to a dear friend of his, the county clerk of Will County, Annette Parker, in a video posted Wednesday morning.
As the City of Washington celebrates its bicentennial this year, Ackerman has offered up a bottle of rosé from Washington winery Tres Rojas, to Parker, should Providence Catholic win.
A day and a half later, Parker issued her response, accepting Ackerman’s challenge and offering up a bottle with historical and spiritual significance - a bottle from Bishops Hill Winery
