GROVETOWN, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A Columbia Middle School student is being held accountable under the code of conduct and the law, school officials say.

According to a letter sent to families on Friday, a student made a threatening comment against other students while on Bus 1711, Route 2.

The principal says the student was removed and is being held accountable in accordance with the code of conduct and the law.

School officials want to remind parents to speak with their students about the dangers of making inappropriate or threatening comments.
