JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Christmas tree permits will be available for purchase starting Nov. 14.

Those who wish to cut a tree must log-in to or create a Recreation.gov account. In-person Christmas tree permits will be available at the Minidoka and Ketchum Ranger District offices and the Supervisor’s Office.

Designated cutting areas, key dates and eligible tree species are listed on the permit purchase page . Each permit includes a map, regulations and tips on finding and cutting a tree.

Fourth graders with an Every Kid Outdoors pass can receive a free permit by entering their voucher number; a $2.50 reservation fee applies.
