CINCINNATI —

A man has been arrested in the shooting death of another man in Cincinnati's West End last week.

It happened Friday, Nov. 7, when officers responded to Poplar Street, near Central Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Advertisement

According to the Cincinnati Police Department, officers were called to the area for a report of gunshots and later received another call for a man who had been shot in the face.

Arriving officers found Dontonyio Spruill, 37, suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said Spruill died at the scene of the shooting.

Early indications are that he was shot in a drive-by shooting, but Cincinnati police are still investigating.

A week after the shooting, police arrested 31-year-old Raymond Virge for murder.
