WATERTOWN TOWNSHIP, OH (LOOTPRESS) – A 21-year-old Parkersburg man was killed early Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash just west of the West Virginia state line, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Marietta Post.
Troopers said the crash occurred around 4:59 a.m. on State Route 339 near Milepost 12 in Watertown Township.
The victim, identified as Colt Porter, was driving a 2008 Ford F-150 northbound when the truck went off the right side of the roadway, traveled down a small embankment, and struck a grove of trees before coming to a stop.
Authorities said Porter was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
