CHESNEE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Chesnee Fire Department said a gas leak is being repaired after a line was hit on Friday.

The incident occurred on Battleground Road, which is closed from Highway 221 to Airport Road.

Officials said a contractor hit the gas line while doing work in the area.

Drivers are being urged to find an alternate route.
