Bihar saw record voter turnout in the recently-concluded state Assembly polls, the results of which are awaited today. With 65.08 per cent voting in Phase 1 and 69.20 per cent voting in Phase 2, the election saw an overall of 67.13 per cent voters having cast their votes.
Among the 243 seats that went to the polls, Kasba recorded the highest voter turnout (81.74%), followed by Barari (81.6%) and Thakurganj (81.32%).
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is set to form its government in Bihar again after a clean sweep. This year, the BJP has become the the largest party in the state just only in terms of vote share but also in number of seats.
