The owners of several graves meant for their family members have filed a lawsuit claiming a man was mistakenly buried in one of the plots and the cemetery is refusing to remove the remains.

Anne Divine and Mitchell Spellman state in court papers they own 10 graves at Cedar Park and Beth El Cemeteries and noticed on June 4 that a man unrelated to them was buried in one of the plots.

Divine called The Jewish Community Center of Paramus , which controls family burial plots in the cemetery, and requested that the man be removed from the grave.

The community center refused, instead offering Divine and Spellman other graves in another section of the cemetery, according to the suit, filed Nov. 10 in state Superior Court in Bergen County.
