LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The U.S. Capitol Christmas tree will make a stop in Lexington this Saturday as part of its cross-country journey to Washington, D.C.
The tree, named “Silver Belle,” was harvested in Nevada and is traveling across the country to the nation’s capital. Visitors can see the tree at Gatton Park and sign a special banner that will be displayed at the Capitol.
The event will feature performances from the Lexington Singers caroling group and the Lexington Ringers handbell performance group. Hot cocoa and seasonal sweets will be available.
Bluebird Cafe experience brings Nashville sound to Lexington
Musicians will perform at the Bluebird Cafe Experience on Saturday at 7 p.m. The event is inspired by the iconic Nashville venue where many artists rose to fame.
