Colorful autumn scenes are expected along the drive to Mount Hood, but those traveling through the foothills might stumble upon a more surprising view: a covered wagon, camped out right along U.S. 26.
For those of us who love a country-style restaurant and sweet treats, Tollgate Inn Bakery in Sandy is a “hidden” gem, even though its exterior is anything but. The large covered wagon sits in front of Tollgate’s multicolored buildings, mirroring the awnings and windows of storefronts that would seem at home in an old Hollywood western.
