LEBANON, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office has arrested the county’s former IT director following a months-long investigation into alleged “inconsistencies.”

The investigation led deputies to search the home of former IT Director Kenneth Hammonds Jr.

WCSO reports that investigators recovered multiple stolen computers and electronic devices. The sheriff’s office noted that several of the stolen devices “were actively being used at the time of the search warrant.”

The sheriff’s office added that it’s believed Hammonds Jr. created a private company, which he billed the county government for “unauthorized services.”
