Members of the Weyburn Fire Department are busy installing Christmas decorations on some of the light standards along the core streets of Weyburn.
While the process is fairly simple and quick at around 10 minutes per light standard, Deputy Fire Chief Mike Wolk is reminding drivers to have patience in traffic if the installation causes any minor delays.
Safety is the number one priority, and the roads being blocked by fire vehicles may require drivers to use alternate routes and extra caution.
The lights are put up in November and come down in January, being kept in cold storage throughout the rest of the year.
The safety reminders are important, as two years ago, the basket truck was hit by a semi while the firefighter was up in the basket installing the Christmas lights.
