A judge ordered thousands of dollars to be turned over to family members of former Clark County, Indiana Sheriff Jamey Noel after they allege he mishandled his brother's estate funds, court records show.
In a court order filed Nov. 10, the Clerk of Courts of Clark County was authorized to release a total of $122,000 to the three children of Jamey's brother, Leon Noel. Leon's children filed a civil lawsuit in the Clark County Circuit Court in 2024 claiming that Jamey took money that was bequeathed to them after their father's death in 2018. Jamey Noel was named executor in his brother's will and was appointed as personal representative of the unsupervised estate.
