A man has died in hospital seven weeks on from a collision that closed a busy road for five hours. Emergency services were called to the junction of Normanby Road and The Avenue in Teesville , following the crash on Thursday, September 25.
The incident involved an off-road motorbike and a van. Cleveland Police confirmed at the time that both riders of the motorbike suffered serious injuries and were taken to James Cook University Hospital , in Middlesbrough .
The driver of the van received minor injuries. The road was closed between the junction with Outwood Academy Normanby and Sycamore Road for a number of hours as emergency services dealt with the incident.
