A Boeing C-40 Clipper touched down at Gulf Shores International Airport on Thursday, sparking questions of who was visiting Gulf Shores.
According to officials from Gulf Shores International Airport, the C-40, which was painted with "United States of America," was from Scott Air Force Base for the day for training. The C-40 is typically used by the U.S. Air Force and Navy for VIP transport, cargo and logistics missions.
"We had a C-40 from Scott AFB come for the day for training!" the airport wrote on Facebook. "We love taking care of our military!"
