LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The first scheduled closure of the John F Kennedy Memorial Bridge will begin Friday evening at 8 p.m.

There will be three overnight closures of I-65 South on the ohn F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge in Louisville as work advances on a bridge expansion joint replacement project to maintain and preserve the important Ohio River crossing.

The bridge will be closed to prevent bridge movement while crews work.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has also coordinated this work with other Louisville area projects to reduce traffic impacts as much as possible. No overnight closures are scheduled the week of Thanksgiving.

Overnight Kennedy Bridge Closures:

Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, through 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15.

Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, through 10
