HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Houston Police Department says it's trying to find the next-of-kin for 57 individuals whose cremains were discovered at Richardson Mortuary in Southwest Houston earlier this year.

The mortuary has been shuttered since April after an investigation turned up "very dirty conditions."

Police, who said they initially found 79 cremated remains in the building, reported yesterday that they've been able to return 22 of them to loved ones.

HPD has posted a list of the 57 remaining cremains on its website.

They ask that you call the department's major offenders division at 713-308-3100 if you have any information that could help reunite the cremated remains with the family.

If unclaimed by December 12, the department says they will be transported to Harris Count
