Popular YouTuber and Jan Suraaj Party (JSP) candidate Manish Kashyap lost the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections from the Chanpatia constituency by a margin of over 50,000 votes. Despite generating significant buzz for his social media presence, Kashyap, also known as Tripurari Kumar Tiwari, was unable to secure enough votes against established political rivals.
He trailed behind Congress's Abhishek Ranjan and BJP's Umakant Singh. He polled a little over 37,000 votes.
