NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - A school in southeast South Dakota was placed on lockdown on Friday.
The incident happened at the Dakota Valley School District in North Sioux City, where, according to police , officers responded to a report of a subject possibly armed with a knife.
Police secured the area and were able to take the subject into custody.
Authorities said there is no threat to the public and the lockdown has been lifted.
