Tributes are being paid to a longtime Shakopee Public Schools employee and mother-of-two who has died from injuries she sustained in a July crash.
Ashley Lehman died on Thursday evening, with her husband Dan announcing she "went peacefully" surrounded by family and friends.
Lehman, who is survived by her husband and their two teenage children, has worked at Shakopee Schools since 2012, starting in the food and nutrition services department at Sun Path Elementary before taking a building and grounds role at Tokata Learning Center, and was later promoted to be the district's central duplicating lead.
She sustained horrific injuries in a t-bone crash on July 17, which left her with a shattered pelvis, 11 broken ribs, and bruising to several internal organs.
