On Oct. 19, a kind-hearted man saw a family — a mother, father and seven young children — on the side of Highway 101 at night and in the cold, as he was fulfilling an order for DoorDash. As he was turning into a requested alternate drop-off location, the father, Nicholas, suddenly stabbed the man multiple times in the head, neck and chest. He was then pushed out of his car and left for dead.
