A Connecticut man has been arrested in a September double shooting that left a man dead in Maine, police said Friday.

Jawon Owens was taken into custody in Hartford, Connecticut, on Thursday and was being held ahead of a hearing for his extradition to Maine to face charges of murder, aggravated assault and aggravated assault with a firearm over the Sept. 21 shooting in Corinth , according to Maine State Police.

The shooting left Scott Roberts, a 46-year-old from Glenburn, Maine, dead and a Skowhegan, Maine, man wounded near the Post Office branch on Main Street, according to police.
