LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A University of Kentucky law professor reassigned after a website he created called for military action against Israel has filed a federal lawsuit against the university.

Ramsi Woodcock claims UK violated his First Amendment right of freedom of speech. He said online that Israel practices genocide and its government should come to an end.
The university said it’s investigating Woodcock’s comments.

“My position which is shared by lots of scholars all over the world is that Israel is a colonization project that practices apartheid and is currently committing genocide,” Woodcock said.
