Fast food chain Wendy's plans to close hundreds of locations just a year after shuttering an initial 140 stores.
Closures are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of the year according to a quarterly earnings call on Friday, Nov. 7. Recently, Wendy's has struggled with sales compared to some of its fast food chain competitors, reporting a 4.7% decrease in same-store sales - revenue generated by stores open for at least a year - and a 2.6% loss in global systemwide sales in Q3.
