Writer Meghan Malloy has signed with WME for representation in all areas.
Malloy is currently writing “Dance Parents,” an original comedy feature starring Charlize Theron and Channing Tatum, with Jonathan Levine (“50/50,” “Long Shot,” “Nine Perfect Strangers”) attached to direct. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the film is reported to be set in the competitive dance world, which is known for its super-passionate parents. The family comedy, also produced by Theron, Tatum and Levine, sold to Universal following a six-studio bidding war.
Malloy’s career breakthrough came as a writer on the Oscar-winning “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” for Sony Pictures Animation. She has worked on major studio franchises and IP at the studio, including “21 Jump Street,” which stars Tatum
