TROY, MT. -- The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office in Montana is looking for a former police officer accused of tampering with evidence.
According to LCSO, detectives received a report of suspicious activity involving 23-year-old Layton Artigo, an officer with the Troy Police Department, and several juvenile girls.
Detectives said they went to Artigo's home and interviewed the girls. Charges were filed for tampering with or fabricating evidence. LCSO did not say what the evidence was related to.
The City of Troy says after an initial investigation into the allegations of misconduct, Arigo was fired from the department.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Artigo, and he's not believed to still be in the area.
Artigo is described as 6'7" and approximately 350 lbs.
