One of Australia's cheapest electric vehicles is poised to make its public debut in Melbourne alongside battery-powered people-movers, utes, sports cars, SUVs and self-driving cars.
The upcoming and new-release vehicles are appearing on the floor of Everything Electric this weekend for its first Melbourne show, which will also offer test drives in more than a dozen models.
Organisers say the event comes at an important time for electric transport in Australia as the low-emission vehicles try to break through to a mainstream audience.
The expo comes less than a week after electric vehicles recorded their highest sales quarter to date but as they continue to be outsold by hybrid alternatives.
