IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa City firefighters responded to an encampment fire Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 3:24 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to reports of an outdoor fire at 101 McCollister Boulevard.

Upon arrival, crews found an encampment on fire and believe it started from an unattended fire at the site.

No injuries were reported, but crews remained on scene until about 9:00 p.m. to fully contain the fire.
