On November 7, 2025, in Spokane Superior Court, Randy S. Brown (62) was sentenced to two and a half years in prison and 18 months of community custody for Second Degree Manslaughter and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver after he pleaded guilty to those charges. The elements to prove 2nd Manslaughter include criminal negligence, that the defendant failed to recognize a substantial risk that their actions may cause death.
