As Murrayfield marks its 100th anniversary, an emotional match ball delivery from legendary Doddie Weir has been voted the 'greatest moment' in the stadium's history.

After thousands of fans took part in the nationwide poll, the Edinburgh lock's walk onto the pitch with his sons was chosen at Murrayfield's defining moment. Doddie's widow Kathy it was 'incredibly humbling'.

His appearance on November 8, 2017, came just months after Doddie revealed his motor neuron disease diagnosis . He passed away in November 2022, after living with the condition for more than six years.
