An 18-year-old Trenton resident was arrested and charged after a 17-year-old was stabbed during on Halloween, authorities said.
At 10:01 p.m., officers responded to the first block of East Hanover Street for a large disturbance, Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey and Trenton Police Director Steve Wilson said.
Upon arrival, Trenton police located Gussiah McEachern with a stab wound to the throat, authorities said. McEachern was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
More than 100 individuals present in the street and cars at a complete gridlock in the 100 block of East Hanover Street can be seen in footage of the incident, authorities said.
Jemair Austin is charged with murder in the first degree, multiple weapons offenses and endangering the welfare of a child, authorities said.
