Fitchburg police officer involved in single-vehicle collision Friday morning

FITCHBURG, Wis. (WKOW) -- A Fitchburg police officer was involved in a single-vehicle collision at about 3:10 a.m. Friday, according to the Fitchburg Police Department.

The incident occurred on the city's west side. Nobody from the public was harmed. Meanwhile, the officer was evaluated at a local hospital and was quickly released.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
