CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The trial of two men accused of robbing and murdering Brooks’ Sandwich House co-owner Scott Brooks continued with testimony from one of the suspects’ ex-girlfriends.

Terry Connor Jr. and Steven Staples were arrested and charged with first-degree murder, among other charges, in connection with Brooks’s murder in December 2019.

The trial entered into its fifth day of testimony on Friday, Nov. 14 – one week after the start of the trial. An officer with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s SWAT team and a former crime scene investigator for the department were called.
