GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — Building a traditional home can take months, and with construction costs climbing, that's pricing many buyers out of the market.
But members of new partnership in Northeast Ohio say they've found a faster, more affordable way to build.
"Our builders told us the most economical way to build a home which people don't even know about is concrete these days," explained Ron Carson, vice president of business operations for real estate investment fund GLH . "They're doing it all over Europe, but no one is doing it here in the Cleveland region."
The goal is to build 2,000 ranch-style homes using concrete panel construction.
"We are still in an inventory shortage here in Northeast Ohio, and in particular, we have a shortage of ranch homes," said Mike Ferrante, an
