DENVER – Maddie Lynn didn’t have the most comfortable position for the first half of Radnor’s state tournament run.
Lynn was injured in a heavy collision in the box early in the second half of the District 1 Class 3A final against Strath Haven. She missed the rest of that game, won by Radnor in overtime, then the first two states games.
But Tuesday night at Cocalico High School, Lynn was back where she wanted to be: Between the posts, backing another in a long line of Radnor shutouts.
“When you’re on the bench, it is stressful,” Lynn said after the 1-0 win over Lower Dauphin. “You have an influence from the bench in cheering and everything like that, but you can’t be in the goal to make a save or anything. But the people that are out on the field do just a great job.”
