TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Plans are underway to address safety concerns at a deadly intersection near the University of Arizona following a tragic accident that claimed the lives of three students in late October.
City leaders say the cost of the changes add up to almost $600,000.
Kyle Giugnon, who crosses the intersection daily, shared his concerns.
"An immense danger to everybody on campus and everybody who crosses is," Giugnon said.
Reflecting on his personal experiences, Giugnon added, "I've dodged a lot of cars. I've truly dodged death before - it's not a joke - I've had to pull my buddies away saying stop walking.”
