Rookie goaltender Nolan Lalonde is making the most of his chance with the Toledo Walleye.
Lalonde, a 21-year-old prospect in the Columbus Blue Jackets organization, was assigned to the ECHL team in early October.
The native of Kingston, Ont., has started in four of the Walleye's eight games this season. He has a 3-1-0 record with a 2.02 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage. He currently ranks 12th among all ECHL goalies in goals-against average.
“It's been great so far, just getting to play hockey,” Lalonde said. “I love coming to the rink every day, so I'm just trying to take it day by day, be where my feet are.”
