Pittsburgh Regional Transit plans to close a lane on Forbes Avenue in Oakland as part of the latest construction related to its bus line expansion project.
The lane restriction will take place between Schenley Drive and Schenley Drive Extension beginning Monday and from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily for the next three weeks. The far right lane will close and traffic will shift to the center lane as workers construct a new bus station on the sidewalk.
The construction will not affect any existing bus routes on Forbes Avenue, PRT said in a release. Normal traffic patterns will be restored daily after 5 p.m.
Flaggers will be on site to assist traffic flow, and PRT is advising commuters to plan for disruptions.
