HARTFORD, CT. (WFSB) - A security officer at Saint Francis Hospital was arrested for leaving a bag containing a gun unattended inside the hospital.
Police say that officers responded to the hospital after receiving a report that a backpack containing a firearm had been left unattended on the fifth floor.
Units located the backpack and recovered a 9mm handgun that had a large-capacity magazine, threaded barrel, and no serial number.
Officers determined that the backpack belonged to a security officer working at the hospital.
The officer, identified as 19-year-old Kamar Camby, admitted to owning the weapon and was taken into custody.
