First United Presbyterian Church, a cornerstone of downtown Loveland since its founding on Thanksgiving Day in 1875, will celebrate its 150th anniversary with a weekend of special events Nov. 21-23. The community is invited to join in the celebration featuring concerts, a beer release party and a commemorative worship service.

The weekend kicks off on Friday, Nov. 21, with “Music, Merriment and Memory,” featuring two concerts at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. showcasing music from the late 1800s. The FUPC choir, a string quintet and local folk musicians will perform in the church’s historic sanctuary. Attendees can enjoy treats, browse the Youth Arts and Crafts Fair for Christmas gifts, and participate in drawings for prize packages. The timing coincides with Loveland’s tree lighting at 7:30 p.m
