NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) - On Nov. 13, the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Louisiana History Museum in Natchitoches held a reunion for those who worked behind the scenes on the film set of “Steel Magnolias.”

The panel answered questions from the audience and shared stories about what the 1989 film means to them and Central Louisiana.

Among the panel was Tom Whitehead, who helped bring the production to Natchitoches. He was able to find a place for the interior sets in what is now the P.E. Majors Building at NSU.
