CEDAR FALLS — Savion Miller was in middle school the last time Iowa City Regina won a state football title.

He recalled wanting to have the same experience as his brother, Santana, who was a freshman on that Class A championship team.

“I remember him winning that and I was a little jealous,” Miller said. “I just want to go down there and do it again.”

Well, Miller will get his chance. The junior running back rushed for 167 yards and a touchdown and quarterback Kyle Tracy 243 total yards and accounted for three scores in third-ranked Regina’s 31-12 victory over No. 1 Grundy Center in a Class 1A state semifinal football game Friday at the UNI-Dome.
