HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - A former candidate for the Nebraska Legislature is accused of sexually assaulting his pregnant wife.
Adams County court records show 29-year-old Joshua Frederick is charged with first degree sexual assault of a pregnant woman, intentionally photographing a person without consent, false imprisonment, terroristic threats, child abuse, and two counts of third-degree domestic assault.
The records reflect a number of reported crimes.
An affidavit indicates that on May 13, Frederick took his pregnant wife’s cell phone and car keys and locked her in a room with him. He then forced her to perform sex acts which he recorded on video.
The affidavit states that on Easter Sunday, Frederick’s wife was standing outside a family vehicle when he rolled up the window and pinned
